Built in Moorish style, Vila Joya is a small luxury hotel that resembles a small oriental palace and is the most luxurious & intimate chic retreat in the Algarve. Accommodation

At Vila Joya has the feel of a private house. Each of the 20 rooms is individually furnished and the balconies & terraces have incredible views of the Atlantic ocean. The mosaic bathrooms conjure up the ritual of ancient oriental baths and music lovers won't be disappointed as every room is equipped with a Bang & Olufsen CD-player and a large selection of CD's is available for guests to choose from. The Master Royal Suite called 'Alegria' has a private garden and pool. All rooms have ocean-view with terrace or balcony, direct dialing telephone, minibar, air-conditioning, TV, CD-radio, bathrobe, hairdryer and in-room safe. The Joya Suite is a very private and romantic suite with its own sitting room and garden as well as an additional private terrace looking across the gardens, pool and sea.

Only 5 minutes away from Vila Joya is Salgados Golf and in fact Vila Joya is located in the middle of the most terrific Golf courses of Europe. Tennis lovers won't be disappointed either as thereare plenty of options within easy reach and the beaches are perfect for those wanting to relax. The holistic spa provides a range of Asian-Oriental treatments for the body & soul. Vila Joya's facilities include sauna, turkish bath, heated swimming pool & tennis court. The stunning slate state-of-the-art wine cellar houses over 7000 bottles of wine. Possibly the most extravagant wine tasting room in Europe and certainly the one with the best sea views.

Dining

Star chef Dieter Koschina has a very special sense of how to combine freshness and lightness of first class cuisine. The fact that every gourmet really does get what he wants is entirely due to his creativity through which he has managed to ensure that Vila Joya's restaurant is the best address in Portugal. He regularly inspects the markets of the Algarve in his search for ingredients of the finest quality, buying lobster, crayfish and turbot from the local fishermen and brings truffles, goose liver and caviar from the best markets in Europe. The result: unbeatable, enduring quality throughout the year.
