About this Chic Retreat

Just 2 hours from the Adriatic coast Art Lodge is the perfect boutique hotel during summer and luxury ski chalet in winter months. Nestled in the glorious countryside of the Nockberge region, 2 hours from Viena, the Art Lodge is surrounded in the summer time by pastures green and fruit trees and fantastic ski slopes in the winter when it is available for exclusive rental only.  The art throughout the chic retreat is for sale ensuring that there are always new pieces being featured by young and talented artists.

Accommodation

During the summer the 12 rooms and suites at Art Lodge are very much part of the boutique hotel experience and represent exceptional value.  Within the main house there are 3 family suites each with an extra bedroom for children. There is also one superior double room with a tiny room right next door for families with older children looking for privacy. The restored barn next door has 2 suites, 3 superior double rooms and one double room and is reserved for guests travelling without kids. All of the rooms feature bathrobes, Satellite TV, WiFi and complimentary soft drinks.  They all have a balcony or terrace with two of them facing the south and pool-area, whilst all others have far reaching views of the Alps. 

Activities

During the summer months there is nothing better than having a round of golf (15 to choose from) or enjoying some cycling and walking before taking a dip in the pool or in one of the 100 lakes!  The outdoors has never seemed more appealing and for the adventurous there is paragliding in nearby Gerlitzen.  Tailor made activities (ski safaris, Nordic walking etc) with guides can be organised with a bit of notice.  During the winter those who love to ski can enjoy a 4-day ski pass which allows you to ski “senza confini” (without limits) into 6 Italian resorts as well as in Bovec, Slovenia.  Or you can use the “Top-ski pass” for great ski safaris throughout East Tyrol and Carinthia with runs covering totalling more than 1000 kms.  There is a small wellness hut where you can enjoy a sauna and a massage.

Dining

A fresh and daily changing menu is served from the slow-food restaurant.  The dishes are full of flavour and served on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Please make sure you book as the restaurant is very popular. Homemade childrens dishes can be prepared..but please note..no chips here!

Rates

Rates at Art Lodge include "á la carte" breakfast and snacks from 08:30h until about 13.00h, as well as coffee, tea, cold beverages (water, juice, beer, and wine of the house) for self-service around the clock in the parlour or in the guest fridges.
