Privately owned and lovingly run by Su and Andrew, Ferme du Ciel sleeps up to 18 in style and has all the features you’d expect from a luxury chalet in the French Alps.  This exclusive chic retreat, with spectacular views over the Giffre Valley and Mont Blanc, is a beautifully renovated 350-year-old Savoyard barn with second helpings of style and character. Samoëns is just 1 hour (on non-mountain roads), from Geneva making Ferme du Ciel possibly one of the most accessible luxury chalets there is.  The French Alps are energising all year round with fabulous skiing during the winter months and beautiful sunny days during the summer.  Owners Andrew and Su's philosophy is an example to us all in that they believe we should enjoy every moment, after all it is the moments and memories that count, not the things we have. So they have gone to great lengths to ensure that your stay and your experience at Ferme du Ciel (Farm in the Sky) is absolutely the best it can be for every age.  At the heart of the chalet is a stunning double-height, open-plan living and dining area, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and an open fireplace. Perfect for spending time with family and friends. 

Accommodation

Ferme du Ciel, is your ‘farm in the sky’ for a week at any time throughout the year.  The 6 bedrooms and suites are all en-suite and feature luxurious spa-style bathrooms with walk-in rain showers.  Each of the rooms are individually decorated and designed with all featuring super kingsize beds, TV, DVD player and iPod dock, seriously fluffy towels and robes and Molton Brown products.  The chalet has underfloor heating throughout making it very snug and cosy.

Activities

There is so much space at Ferme du Ciel that it is easy to find a corner to yourself.  Enjoy a film in the TV snug or catch up with your rugby or football scores on Sky.  There is an Xbox and games available too to keep your little ones amused.  There is an extensive book, DVD and CD library and for those who simply can't tear themselves away from work there is an office area complete with laptop for you to use - if bringing your own there is complimentary WiFi throughout.  A stay in the Alps wouldn't be complete without a sauna or outdoor Jacuzzi and at Ferme du Ciel you have both.  Skiing during the winter months is some of the best skiing in Europe and during the summer months the landscape transforms into green hills and mountains filled with flowers and butterflies. Andrew and Su scoured the French mountains and valleys in search of the perfect spot, and settled on Samoëns because of its unspoilt charm and central location in the fantastic Grand-Massif ski area.  

The Grand Massif is one of the largest and most easily accessible ski areas in the French Alps, perfect for an invigorating, energising break. Comprised of five interlinked resorts – Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt and Flaine – it boasts more than 265km of wide, groomed pistes, and an unlimited supply of fresh mountain air.

For the ultimate pampering and apres-ski experience, enjoy a revitalising massage and reflexology in the privacy of your own room.

Dining

You can choose between self-catering and fully catered.  We highly recommend the latter so that you can be pampered and spoilt and have a proper holiday and after a day out exercising in the mountain air your indulgence is totally justified!.   For the fully-catered option on your first evening, you will enjoy a complimentary glass of Champagne and delicious canapés followed by a fabulous three-course meal, complemented by free-flowing house wine.  Only the freshest ingredients, locally sourced ingredients are used and each day the talented chef prepares a tailored and delicious menu where everything is homemade.  Breakfasts are sublime and one of the things that can make or break a holiday.  Enjoy homemade porridge, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, something hot and freshly baked croissants and breads, all washed down with fresh fruit juice, coffee or a choice of teas.

    25% deposit required to confirm any booking.  Remaining amount is required no later than 10 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation: 10 weeks or more prior to arrival, loss of deposit.  Within 10 weeks of arrival 100% of total stay. Discounts are applied for more than two adults sharing a room.
