About this Chic Retreat
The Bingham is a luxurious little boutique hotel in Richmond, South West London. Modern luxury and contemporary design sit comfortably in the two Georgian town houses that make up the Bingham, and rooms have vintage nuances which integrate well into the design of the 15 rooms.
With a striking cocktail bar and gourmet restaurant, this small chic retreat is an inviting bolthole where guests will feel at ease, and the Bingham is in the perfect location for visiting South West London's greatest attractions, from Kew Gardens to Richmond Park with its famous free-roaming deer. The perfect combination of natural beauty, with rare and tropical birds often sighted from the hotel due to the gardens, river and wetlands centre close by, and urban energy with the vibrant city centre just a bus journey away, the Bingham offers guests the choice of relaxation and excitement at any time.
Accommodation
The Bingham has 15 individually styled bedrooms, each with bespoke mahogony furniture inlayed with mirrors inspired by art deco design and soft & inviting beds and seating. Duvets are stuffed with duck & goose feathers and two of the rooms have antique four-poster beds. River Doubles and Superior River Doubles have views of the Thames and the luxurious addition of whirlpool baths, and the more spacious superiors also have walk-in showers. All of these charming & elegant rooms have air-conditioning, mini-bars, WiFi access, digital TVs, DVD players (on request) and in-room music from a sound server which has access to the Bingham's own music library, or else can be used with an iPod.
Activities
Close to Kew Gardens, the London Wetland Centre, Chiswick House & Gardens and Richmond Park, the Bingham is a great place for horticulturalists and nature lovers alike. Marble Hill House has open-air concerts during the summer months.
Sports enthusiasts can pop down to Wimbledon during the famous tennis tournament or watch rugby in Twickenham, and for those who want to take part themselves, there are a some great golf courses in the area and a polo club.
Shopaholics can spend a day in Richmond's designer boutiques before taking in a play at the Richmond Theatre or the Orange Tree, or for a bit of relaxation back at the hotel, take an in-room 'Bliss Beauty' treatment.
Dining
The Bingham Restaurant is strikingly elegant. Art deco furniture and chandeliers and a calm, light palette of creams, soft pinks and dark wood enhance the dining experence, and large windows allow guests views of the Thames. Executive Chef, Shay Cooper, uses seasonal ingredients to make the best of British recipes using locally sourced ingredients and has secured this small gem of a restaurant 3 AA rosettes. Very reasonably priced, there are menus from a la carte to tasting, lunch menus and afternoon tea. Choose from dishes such as roast quail, smoked eel risotto and salt marsh mutton. Before dinner, guests may wish to sample one of the Bingham's cocktails in the bar which was originally built by Lady Ann Bingham and is replete with hand blown glass chandeliers, huge mirrors and an opulent ceiling with silver leafing.
Rates
Rates at the Bingham are per room per night and include taxes. Breakfast is not included and costs GBP 15. An extra bed for children under 12 is free. A bottle of Devaux Grand Reserve can be arranged on arrival for GBP 46.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to arrival will not be charged. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to arrival (after 3pm) will be charged 100% of the first night. No shows will be charged the full amount as per 24 hours.
