About this Chic Retreat
Dar Fakir is far removed from the norm and is not a traditional boutique hotel, but a romantic and charming guesthouse, - just three minutes away from the buzz of Jemâa El Fna square. One of the newest additions to Marrakech, Dar Fakir is an authentic riad which is both relaxed and elegant. The 7 sophisticated rooms and suites offer a welcome retreat from the hub of this thriving city and there are plenty of seating areas around the patio and pool and on other floors of the riad, where you can enjoy a traditional mint tea, chat with friends or enjoy a book.
Accommodation
The pretty rooms are Dar Fakir are all en-suite, most with showers though the suites also have a bath. All come with fluffy bathrobes, air conditioning and WiFi. The Grand Suite, Iswane, on the first floor, has an extra seating area and can be used as a triple room at no extra cost. A couple of the rooms can be made into twin rooms making them ideal for friends sharing. Our favourite is Salama, a sophisticated and spacious suite on the ground floor with the largest bathroom of all the rooms. All rooms and suites are decorated in elegant beige tadelakt on the walls as well as in the bathrooms. They all have individually embroided bed linen made from the very best Egyptian Cotton. The fragrant products are provided by Sence de Marrakech and for the Suite black soap and a gommage flannel.
Activities
Enjoy a day trip to the Atlas Mountains or simply enjoy the Medina and the wonders it has to offer.
Dining
Your holiday in Marrakech is not complete without experiencing the delicious Moroccan crepes freshly made each day and served at breakfast on the roof terrace. Lunch and dinner is also served at Dar Fakir and the menus include a mixture of Moroccan and international dishes. Cookery classes are run throughout the year.

Cancellation policy
The hotel requires 30% deposit to guarantee the reservation.- If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm more than 21 days prior to the day of arrival no charge will be made.
- If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm 21 days - 48 hours prior to arrival 50% of the booking will be charged.
- If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm less than 48 hours before arrival the full booking will be charged.
