This perfectly formed luxury B&B, 4Rooms, is situated in the most fashionable residential district of Porto, Old Foz, where the Douro river meets the Atlantic Ocean. Hidden away from tourists this Chic Retreat is the perfect spot for those wanting to enjoy the sights and sounds of the town and historical Old Foz, without being surrounded by crowds.  Honeymooners will love the privacy and tranquillity of 4Rooms and all guests will enjoy the beautifully presented breakfasts (with Jasper Morrison cutlery, tableware and more) and delicious home-made cookies.  Hidden behind a simple, traditional facade this little Chic Retreat will surprise and delight all guests with its sophisticated simplicity and contemporary interiors and design.

Accommodation

The 3 en-suite rooms at 4Rooms are beautiful in their simplicity.  Smooth stone, clean lines and lovely bedlinen create a haven of peace and tranquillity.  Air-conditioning, WiFi and flat screen TVs are standard in all of the rooms as are iPod docking stations and Anne Semonin bathroom products. The new Loft Room is full of light and has its own private entrance and its own iMac system and Lavazza coffee machine.  Why not take over all of the 3 rooms for your own private hideaway?

Activities

A few minutes walk finds you in the centre of Old Foz and just 3 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.  There is plenty to see and do and the owner has an arrangement with a nearby health club which has a pool and gym if you are looking for a bit of exercise or relaxation.  Enjoy afternoon tea in the courtyard and don't miss the delicious home made biscuits.  Wine is very much part of the experience at 4Rooms which has contacts with the best in the business allowing guests to enjoy complimentary tours of the wine cellars in the Douro Valley and V.N. de Gaia (transport not included).  In-house massages can be arranged.

Dining

The best restaurant within walking distance (1 minute) of this little Chic Retreat is Pedro Lemos which has a really warm atmosphere and a menu full of traditional delicacies.  Former chef at Romaneira, a boutique hotel in the Douro Valley, Pedro's restaurant is now one of the best in town.

Cancellation policy

Since 4Rooms has a limited number of rooms, guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved and confirmed by 4Rooms. However changes or cancellations of reservations 7(seven) days prior to arrival (check-in 15h00/local time) do not involve any charge or liability for guests.  If the booking is cancelled between the 3rd and 7th days prior to arrival date (check-in 15h00/local time) 50% of the booking will be charged.

  • All cancellations made less than 3 (Three) days from the date of arrival or no show (check-in 15h00 local time), will be charged the total value of nights and rooms booked.
  • Penalties and any refunds will be respectively credited and debited to the credit card, or returned through bank transfer, used for the original booking.
