About this Chic Retreat

Sri Villas has an enviable and incomparable beachfront location on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka.  Each of the 3 villas (8 suites) have been designed to meet the most discerning travellers expectations whilst keeping to the traditional Sri Lankan style of high ceilings and tall windows shading large open spaces allowing the cool ocean breeze to permeate the property.

Accommodation

Sri Villas has 3 two-storey villas which can be rented separately or together and which sleep up to 18 guests. In front of the villas is a beautiful 30-metre lap pool with steps leading to a shallow end on one side, which is ideal for children. Each villa has stylish and spacious interiors, generous living and dining spaces, private, fully-equipped kitchens, spacious balconies and master suites with oversized en-suite bathrooms.  Choose between Nisala Villa (2 Suites), Sagara Villa (3 Suites) and Araliya (3 Suites, 1 en-suite) - a difficult choice, but whichever you choose you won't be disappointed.

Activities

The charming and famous town of Galle is 45 minutes away with its world heritage Dutch Fort and international cricket pitch and Sri Villas is ideally located for those who wish to get out and about and explore the area. Bentota is nearby where you will find plenty of water sports, including a water skiing and surfing school (where the instructors guarantee to have you skiing within a single round!). For something a little more leisurely there are river cruises and hiking through local villages and paddy fields. The home and exotic gardens of Sri Lanka’s famous architect Geoffrey Bawa are open to the public and are close by.   Or simply enjoy the local ancient temples, turtle hatcheries and relax at a choice of Ayurvedic spas in the area.  Yoga masters are available for private lessons at Sri Villas.   Sri Villas is seriously child-friendly and can provide babysitters and child-friendly menus.  They can organise bonfires on the beach, elephant rides, kite flying, surfing, tuk tuk rides and plenty of fun in the pool! Sri Villas has a TV and DVD player as well as WiFi.

Dining

Food is a big party of anyone's holiday and dining at Sri Villas is one of the highlights of your stay.  You may either pay for the ingredients, which will be bought on your behalf at the local market, or choose the ‘full board’ option of a 3 set meals a day.  Enjoy wonderful traditional Sri Lankan dishes, fresh seafood caught and prepared on the same day and a tasty variety of Asian and European dishes.

Cancellation policy

If your booking is made more than 28 days prior to the arrival date (first night of stay), a 50% deposit is required. After paying the 50% deposit, should you fail to pay the balance of 50%, 28 days prior to your arrival date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking subject to our cancellation charges. Unfortunately, we’re unable to issue payment reminders in this respect.   We ask you to pay a security deposit on arrival at the villas, by way of cash. The deposit is security against any damages or charges that may arise during your stay. If your stay is one week or more, we ask you to pay equal to one day’s rent. If your stay is less than one week, we ask you to pay equal to half a day’s rent.

  • Distance from nearest airport: Between 4-5 hours
  • Laundry from Sri Villas is sent to a professional company in the area for cleaning. The housekeeper will arrange to send your laundry and provide an invoice on its return.
